Fixing hip distortion on pelvis / thigh bends

Hi all,
Relative newb here. I've been running into an issue with some of my figures where the hip/pelvic area gets very distorted and unnatural looking whe the thighs and pelvis are bent. This is more pronounced when posing a voloptuous or heavyset character. Has anyone dealt with this before and/or found a way to make these poses look more natural? I've downloaded zev0's Bend Control morphs which definitely help, but as you can see, there is still a weird folding of the hip/thigh area. Screenshots for reference here: https://postimg.cc/ygQZ88Pg
Much obliged!

That looks as if a corrective morphs for a big shape is kicking in when it shouldn't. Check that you are not missing any updates, some products were released with such an issue and later fixed.
Thank you for the response Richard! Would you mind elaborating a bit? What should I be checking for updates? Gen 8? The morph packs I'm using? Daz Studio?
Any morph packs for the figure - it does not have to be one that is in use, the issue would be that the correction (to make the bends look better when the morph was applied) was in effect regardless.
Actually that's 'normal' ... especially when you bend figure's Pelvis + Abdomen Lower to an extreme extent (and thighs bend + side-side make it worse...), while default pJCMs cannot well fix the partial morphs, even if you use Bend Control. So ~
- try to avoid bending those joints together with high degrees..
- try not to make your figure too thin. The more it's thinner, the more 'distorted' it's gonna be...
- zev0 developed another product to fix similar issues on the abdomen to some extent, you may take a look at: https://www.daz3d.com/body-mixer-for-genesis-3-and-8-female.. (but it's not all mighty.)
- check if you use some unique partial body morph or character... some will aggravate the issue..
- the best way is to fix them with scultping software, e.g. Blender or ZB... (so far I've not seen a product can 100% fix such an issue 'cause that really depends on your figure's shape and poses...)
As this is exactly true, it's even worse than that. Every character needs its own individual additional set of JCMs, in order to avoid those unwanted distortions.
Yes, as an imperfection, it's worse on G8/G3 while better on G9. There should be some 'combo pJCMs / cbs' on Base figures when multiple joints rotate around that area at the same time...
In general, you will run into problems with unwanted thigh bend distortions, when you inflate your character's volume, or shorten the thighs.
Left To right:
JCMs ON_01, JCMs OFF_01, JCMs OFF_02, JCMs ON_02
Thanks everyone for your advice. I'm still new to the 3d world, so I will probably need to learn a lot to implement the custom morphs. In the meantime I'll try to avoid those extreme bends. :)
