Can I use alembic exporter to exporter a model with rigging from DAZ Studio to Ureal Engine 4? It would be fun to have Aiko or The Girl running around in a litle first peronal shooter.
long answer Alembic is a mesh with a series of changes in vertex position along timeline like morphs do
is good for preserving the integrity of an animation for an external render but just a prop basically.
FBX is your go, it exports rigged figures, if you want to redistribute your game to others you need the game developers license too, personal use is OK just on your computer by you that is.
I have just started playing with UnreaEngine4 it is alot of fun and a chalenge to lern new things. I do not think anything I will make will be released to the public or anyone else.
