moved Daz folder an it lost all items added to menu bar.

I moved the entire daz folder and the roaming folder from old computer to new computer.
Daz apparently still lost track of all the scripts added to the menu bar. Is there a list somewhere I can use to force daz to reinstall them?

Scripts on the menu bar use Custom Actions defined by you and they're saved in customactions.dsx file (in: %AppData%\DAZ 3D\Studio4\) with the path(s) of your Daz Library (Libraries). So you may check your Content Directories configuration and if the files locate in the right folders...

Ps: Export function in F3 cannot export user defined actions.

  • Should be in CustomActions.dsx, assuming the scripts are still in the same relative path within a content directory.

I checked and tested again, it seems that the icon file (png) use the absolute path... If I move the whole folder to another Daz Lib on different drive, the script on menu bar works fine but just the icon disappears...

I put all scripts etc in the my daz folder on the C drive and that was moved with the Daz program folder and the daz3d folder in docs and the daz in roaming.
I was hoping they would all stay intact.
I reset the turbo load scripts .. that was simple... I think the other menu bar adds were from products in other files some snap and move etc ...and those folders may not be loaded as directories yet.
Which was why I asked if Daz keeps a list of it's content files ... it must but how do I make this daz look at the list so I don't have to manually load the content directories?

  • okay... it looks like the move made daz clean that out because the list only has the turbo loaders ones in it now..>
but I have a copy with the other ones in it and once I double check the folder addresses I can just cut and past it into the custom actions dsx.
(thank you 3d gods for Notepad +)
