migrate data, where is the data and Dim can't load update

Moved to a new computer but all all mapped directories are on the same drive with same letters has before Daz was moved so how come the directories aren't showing up
(and yes I brought the roaming folder over. By Data I mean the list of mapped directories that daz uses to build the content pane ... the dim has one and I know where that is.
Wow, the migrate database command is move from 3 to 4... little outdated there.
---
2) DIM says it has an update and won't log in without the update but then it says it's unable to download the update.
so there are places in Daz that say click here to download DIM .. and I did and the installed stops because the VM package builder wants an SSl centificate and apparently Daz won't supply it.
---
Oh, well I can use old DIM to rearrange my existing content
but darned if I see how I can buy anything new.
---
Well, tried to download a fresh copy of studio but apparently DIM has to be downloaded first and DIM can't install because of the SSL not found (the file where the install was take place just has a little certificate icon in it.

  • On the SSL certificates, a fix is being worked on but in the emantime see https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/8194876/#Comment_8194876

Database migration has nothing to do with chnaging machines - it was for translating a DS 3 database to DS 4 (using Valentina, I would think) since the systems changed. Migrating is a matter of copying the ContentCluster across - when it is not in use, therea re mutliple files involved so a copy made while it is being used has the potential for some to be out of sync with others.

Once you have that resolved the other issues may resolve themselves - if noit please try to rephrase the description as I, at least, coudl not follow much of the first post.

  • what I was logging for was to make the daz (same one literally) save me the time of picking all the directories by hand.
So I reentered them all in the content directory manager.

The panes not behaving as they did in windows 7 is not the major issue.
The screen to the user left is supposed to be the content nicely spread out on a 30 inch monitor --- I can put it there but it does disappear occasionally
the middle screen does stay stable with the scene contents list as a 2 in wide window going down side of the 43 monitor with the workport taking up the rest
the screen to the user left is supposed to end up with two pane groups one with surfaces, parameters the other with render settings, power pose, and tool settings but I can even drag those windows to the monitor they start and then just disappear.

If the control for them is based in the windows "window" system I've had no problem putting windows everywhere across the set ot screens.
There is something called offscreen dock groups.. and it keep showing the group as off on monitor 2 after I drag it to 3
Is this configurable somewhere...  because it looks like daz only wants to see two of the monitors or want's to put 2 and 3 together
