What makes posing movement faster, better GPU or CPU?

When there are too many objects in the room, or high value of collision itteration, posing movement becomes laggy.
What could make it faster, better GPU or CPU?

  • Both.

Somethings, such as Smoothing modifiers, are CPU, while other things, such as Mesh Resolution, are GPU.

If you're having issues with posing, i'd suggest turning off smoothing modifiers until you're ready to render, as well as reducing the amount of, visible, items in your scene.

You can also turn your Viewport setting(Edit>Preferences>Interface(tab)) down to improve performance(GPU).

If there're lots of high definition wearables (clothing, accessories, some 3rd-party anatomical elements or geo-grafts, etc) on the figure, they'll all make posing laggy because of smoothing iterations, pJCM resolving, etc. In some cases, hiding them and deactivating smoothing even don't help much. I myself have a pretty robust rig, but laggy things happen from time to time...

If you're facing very laggy situation, you may try to save all werables as a preset,  delete them all, then fast posing is back. When it's done, load back preset and tweak a bit.
