HDR Files?

How would one use an HDR file in Daz?  the file format is hdr not dson or anything else i have seen.  Do I need to apply those to a plane or in photoshop? Or can I apply it

directly to the scene in Daz?

Yes, they can drip directly into anywhere that would have an environment map...both 3Delight and Iray.

mostly they get used to make light for your scene.

on the Render Settings pane, if you choose one of the settings that has a dome, you can put the hdr (exr and other formats work but hdr (high dynamic range) work best) .and it will light your scene

you can also put them anywhere an image file can be used. For example,,you can use them for textures for a dress, or a table top, or wall, or a floor.

if you put it in the emission color slot, and make the color anything other than black (0 ,0, 0) it will glow. :)

Well that sounds like it would be fun to play with lol.  I just found a site with lots of freebies and wanted to make sure i could use them before I actually spent the time loading them all.
