(Timeline) Save the scene with just the last frame

If timeline has 30 frames keep total at 31, range 30 and 30, curent 30 then save your scene. Reload the scene and you will only have the thirtieth image. But that does not change the weight of the scene on the hard disk. Just less risk of rendering the wrong image.

Are you asking if it is possible or wanting to make a feature request?
Sorry but I posted too soon. In fact the 30 images are still there but when you reload the scene only the thirtieth image is displayed. if you go back to the first frame the whole timeline is displayed. Sorry again for this lack of hope but I'm still looking for something.
Are you looking for this solution because you are using the timeline for a dforce simulation rather than making an animation and thus only interested in a single frame (presumably the last one)? If so I don't think what you are actually after is possible (currently) as I believe this has been asked for and spoken about previously. What I have been experimenting with is doing the dForce via timeline in a separate scene, using dforce2morph to "save" the new adjustment and then importing that into my main scene and throwing away the animation scene.
Yes, it has been discussed in other threads and I'm sure a support request has been made (and ignored). In fact I seem to remember making such a request myself although I despair of ever getting any such request acted upon.
What I do is (if I remember correctly) copy the last frame to frame zero and then reduce the timeline count to a single frame and save the scene. I can always add frames to the saved scene if I want to use it in an animation. But I agree that saving out any single frame should be a no-brainer for any animation timeline.
That's exactly it but when I realized I was wrong I had already posted my message. I have already read everything I could find on this subject and I thought I had found the solution... Shame on me...
