Animate2 not saving aniBlock as direct animation copy

Maybe I'm doing this all wrong but I've been trying to save my animation as an aniBlock.

My poses in the actual animation are specfic to my needs. However, when I save it as an aniBlock, it's not a direct copy of the animation. The transformation parameters in the aniBlock have changed and I can't save it when I edit it.
