Render iterations, are they the same? And Render percentage
This may be an odd or repeated question(s) so I beg your indulgence.
Rendering has a field "Max Samples". I believe the default is 5000, and it can go up to 15K.
Assuming I'm rendering the exact same image, nothing changes except the Max Samples field.
Render 1 it's set to 5K. Render 2 is set to 15K.
Question #1. Is render pass 1 thru 4999 the same for both renders? Do they accomplish the same.
In my project If I use 5K I get about 40% complete. 15K I get about 95% complete.
Looking at the completed image, my human eye can't really see a difference. The output .png file is slightly smaller with the higher sample number.
So question #2. What does the extra sampling (Iterations) truly buying me?
Thanks in advance.

The rendering process is deterministic, so yes the two passes will be the same until the second gets past the first.
The more iterations the less noise - the jump from 40% convergence to 95% (which is the default stop value) shpws that there was a lot of change in the sense that many pixels settled on a "final" value - how narrowly that is defined deepnds on the Render Quality, the slight drop in file size suggests it wasn't a dramatic change (noisy images compress less well than smooth, so the difference reflects the extra smoothness). If you can't see any change you may not need to go further, but it may be worth getting a second opinion.
Need some help here, total new bie. I have coimpleted the Barefoot Dancer Render but for some reason it is displyed as an 91x91 pixel instead of 1920x1080. Can someone please help me out here? What am I doing wrong?
That is the thumbnail which is created when you save a scene. It sounds like you are looking in the 'scenes folder', you have to find the 'renders' folder.
It will probably show in the Render Library pane, and be openable from there, if you haven't changed the behaviour.
How would I know if I changed teh baehaviour and how do I change it back? Look, I get it, new bie here, working all the time, don't have alot of time to be here online and all i want is for my render to be 1920x1080 like it should be. It was like that before.
