I really like this one, I already liked the white version ( those wings are something, wonder where they came from) but this postworked version is more of one piece through this texturing.
Those girls in the woods are looking good as well, seems they have benn through some walking already ;)
Looks good. I too love running renders through filters to see how they come out. The hard part is figuring out which ones you like most, right?
That wasn't a demo Sapphire I got it too. Its just not the latest version.
That outfit that comes with the wings is called Lil Devil made by Aarron Soul!!
Where is the reg numbers then Sonja can you help me with that in a PM maybe???
It is the hardest and most fun part is finding out which one works better with the render I choose to run through the scripts!!!
They sent the numbers in an email I believe, and I just followed the link they provided. Maybe contact them and ask them if you didn't get that email.
I see you used the light shining through the window/gate technique from my light tutorial - love the way the shadows turned out here. Good Job.
How 'bout adding some linear point lights at each light fixture? Tint them light yellow and watch how the light interacts with your people. The fact that your shadows are long implies that that sun is lower in the sky, but not quite sunset. You could lower the overall lighting a little bit, like 10-20%, then kick up the light fixtures.
That may make your background image stand out like a sore thumb though. If it does, then hunt through Pixabay to find a late afternoon picture, preferably with the sun in the upper and slightly to the right.
I just had to play with GM8 since he just came out today, and had a go with V8, just a simple render in 3Delight no postwork.
Used UE2 and tried to use Liner point lights but they ever showed up in the render at all not sure why but I like how it turned out anyway!!
I could use some advice on how to get the liner lights to show up in the final render plz n ty.
Trying out some DOF and out came this render, done in 3Delight of corse and used Speed Lights and UE2 Lighting
Titled: A Mermaids Dreams
I don't think I did such a good job on the DOF though!!
The colours of that mermaid are awesome!
For the DOF there is a simple trick, you go to the perspecive view and select the camera you wnat to adjust the DOF in the scene tab, that gives you two panes and in the middle a little coloured cross, ther is the best focus point. Now you can see exactly where your sharp point is when you adjust the distance and how much of a sharper area you want.
About the linear ont lights, do you have them listed in your scene tab? They load ot bottom level so that half an orb is outlines with white lines, the inner indicating the distance where the maximal light is still active and the outer where the degradation is going down to zero, so no light left. If you placed them in the street lamps you need to make sure that the "glass" part is close to minimum opacity or nothing will come through. In a scene like yours with a rather well lit environment, they will have a hard time showing anyway, so try with a darker scene ( UE to 30%) and pump th linears up to at least 120%. hope that helps ;)
Thank you so much Linwelly for the help on both the lights and the DOF!!!
I am going to try that and post the results tomorrow as I already have yet another render under go for the PC+ challenge
I was messing around with the Core Lighting I got from the bi-weekly freebies from DAZ Store
Here is what I came up with:
Titled: Killer Kelly and Killer Kelly At Home
Hey Saphirewild:
The first one looks really good. Nice soft portrait lighting. You can improve it by choosing a background that's not quite so busy. Since she's "Killer Kelly," a dark background would suit her well. I made some backgrounds which I gave out free. Try the one I attached - it's a good atmospheric one for imposing characters.
Your second render has good positioning within the environment. However, it's overexposed and there are no shadows. Tone down the lighting until you can see the dark space between her teeth like the first render. Add a distant light (or if the chamber has a ceiling, use a spotlight on her instead) to bring in some shadows and then turn your ambient (UE2 if applicable) down to bring in the shadows. Change the Shadow Type to Raytraced if your computer can handle it, or Deep Shadow Map if you don't have enough power.
Similar with the third render. The colors tell me this is a moonlight scene. Use a distant light for the exterior (and/or spotlight if there is a ceiling). The distant light will be your moonlight. In the light tab, change the color to 246 238 255. Point it so that it is shining down from the upper left corner. Create a spotlight and change it to the same color. It should be shining down on her from the upper left corner. Both lights must have the Shadow Type changed: Raytraced or Deep Shadow Map. Now turn down your UE2 to the point where the shadows really start to come in.
Thank you Dracorn for the great info and the background!!
I am going to try that tonight when I rerender them all.
I was checking the lighting out to see if it was all it said it was, and it sure is.
Well I was playing around with a new charactor and more lights
First one is Night Lighting second one is core lighting

Thank you Worlds I really love mermaids always have even if they are not real!!
Thank you Death the lighting is from the daz bi-weekly freebies I got at the first of the week, and the background like I told Dreamer is from the treasure chest of Dracorn!!
I was messing around with Core Lighting once again and here is the result using M4 as Tye with new duds I got free just the other day for him.
