Making a moving part figure out of primitives
Is there a tutorial out there how to combine primitives together as moving parts. One of the tutorials showed how you could use that 'geometry pane' but its looking for vertices my primitives don't have. I do not know how to add vertices to my primitives. I am importing primitives from a CAD software. Daz 3D has no trouble doing the surface edit to these but making moving parts eludes me.

Informative but I still can't get Daz Studio to reconize the different parts of my object so I can 'bone' them together. It does reconise the parts when it comes to surface editing, though. Also mentioned were tutorials for sale. Hate to spend money if it still is not going to work. May have to work around this. Don't want to spend much more time with it.
Primitves have vertices, otherwise they couldn't exist. At least one at each corner, more if you increased the number of divisions.
Just a thought, Cinema 4D has a way of creating 'parametric' primitives, but you have to change them to eidtable mode before you can do anything with the geometry. Perhaps your CAD program has something similar?
