Can't copy one surface to another even though the object is the exact same

Hi everyone,

Just trying to copy and paste surfaces from clothing on one character to another but it doesn't work, despite the clothing being the exact same object.

Any way to fix this or is this just another annoying bug?

    I can't delete the post but if anyone in the future is having the same problem, you can fix it by applying a Daz shader to each surface manually and then copying the other surfaces!

    Yep. Select all surfaces > Iray Daz Uber Shader > Paste.

    Copy-and-paste is for settings, the sahder applied doesn't count as a setting (though i can understand the confusion - both the shader, not copied, and the maps, copied, are references to external files).
