Changing prop rotational axes

So I have a prop that I've modified from another object. I've used the joint editor to alter its origin point so that it rotates in place. However, the axes around which it rotates are still at diagonals compared to the structure of the object. Is there a way to re-orient the axes to make it easier to manipulate?

    If you open the tool settings pane, you can change rotation order.

    I assume that what you are looking for.

    If you just wanna have better manipulation in Viewport, Alt Shift + R, Tools Setting, switch to Local or Object coordinates... If you wanna have a correct orientation for rotation, try to change Orientation in Tool Settings pane with Joint Editor, and Memorize Seleted Node Rigging in RMB - menu , then save a Figure / Prop asset...

  • Adjust the end point and then from the option menu choose the Align command.
