Troubles with transferring content between computers

I have recently obtained a new laptop for better DAZ work, however I'm having trouble transferring some of the content (50% of which is 3rd party)

The dson files, the duf files, are all present in the folders, but in Daz Studio, all of the folders are present, but all of the content is completely missing. I am only able to run the content by manually going into my computer files and executing the aforementioned dson files (except morphs, those are missing when loading a scene). I have tried every single basic fix like using the Content DB and such. 

Please, tell me what's going on.

    I know it's not easy since the forum attachments are broken but it would help if you had some screenshots of your config and the issues you are having. You should also expand more about what you mean by "transferring content" - did you copy the files from one machine to another? Is it a shared drive that both machines have access to? and so on.

    In general terms, providing the files are actually there and in the correct place and you have the base libraries setup properly then that should be enough to see the content via the Content Library. Smart Content is a different story and requires reading in the DSX files from Runtime/Support to populate the CMS of the second machine - this is the Reimport Metadata via Content DB maintenance that you have mentioned (or other similar method).

    I transferred my library via a USB drive, everything is in its correct place. 

    This is nothing about Smart Content, only the content library. I wish I could attach images but it just won't let me. 

    In the Content Library, all of the folders and product thumbnails are present, but there is nothing loadable from there to be inserted onto the scene.

    Turns out I am an idiot, I didn't make my directory in DAZ Studio format, all is good now, sorry.

    lol, now I have a new problem, everything is grey boxes and nothing can be found when it's in the files, pls help

    Where is your content on the drive and what did you setup as content directory in preferences?

    That sounds like you have the base library for these transferred folders mapped incorrectly - The folder you add as a Daz Format library must be the parent folder that holds the runtime and data subfolders. Either that or something has screwed up the folders when you copied them over.

    I wish I could attach images but it just won't let me. 

    You can use an alternative image hosting site and link the images to your posts that way.

    I found the issue! Indeed, something did go wrong while transferring, turns out, there were duplicates of the data and runtime files and whatsoever with an added (1), I merged the files and everything works now. Thank you all for the help!
