Carrara 8.5 vs 8.1 any issues

Hello

Long time since I posted here. I haven't need to use Carrara in a while, I'm about to jump back in. I have a newer windows 10 machine I would like to install and use.

It would be nice to just install one version. I would like to just install 8.5. I do not use human figures, just technical stuff I model in carrara.

For some reason I thought there was a change in shaders in 8.5 and I want to reecall old projects without having to tweek what I have done already.

So will 8.5 not alter the look of my old projects, or should I also install 8.1 to be safe.  Will something modeled in 8.5 open in 8.1?

Also does the render node work with both? I don't seem to have a serial for that in my account even though I thought I bought it.

Hi,

I've never had any issues opening models I have done in 8.5 in 8.1 or visa versa 

I don't have render node so can't answer that one

Carrara 8.5 gots mostly improvements and compability updates compared to 8.1, so there's nothing that shouldn't work on the newer version.
