Render viewport frame missing

Just a minor problem but it's rather inconvenient and baffles the heck out of me even though I am sure it is a simple fix - once someone tells me how to actually fix it.
Normally when i do a render I can see an outline around the picture that shows me what part of the viewport a render will include. But somewhere while trying to make an adjustment I lost this outline so I can no longer see what part of the scene a render will cover until I actually make the render. Nothing I try or can think of brings it back.
Coiuld someone please tell me how to restore this outline so that every time I change the pixel dimensions my next render isn't a hit-or-miss?

Please don't double post.
There are two (main) possibilities - the first is that you have Active Viewport set as the render aspect ratio (Editor tab of Render Settings), in which case the viewport is by definition the active area and there is no need for the frame. The other is that you have Show Aspect Frame unchecked in the Viewport options menu (the lined button in the top corner, or right-click the Viewport's tab).

Posted this elsewhere but I can't see my own post there so trying here instead.
Sounds like you acidentally unclicked the aspect frame - details here: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/28224/how-to-show-framelines-in-the-view-window
That was it alright. Looks like I was correct in assuming it was something I clicked on by accident. I just didn't know what/where it was. I would never have found it either, I am sure. Thank you very much for the help. :-)
Sorry. Wasn't sure I even *was* double-posting as I couldn;t see my original post anywhere and thought it was lost somehow.
Anyway, yes that second one was the problem alright. Thanks.
