How to prevent weight map brush painting spills across the other side?

It's very annoying when I tried to work weight map on the back of my cloth, but the front also get painted.
How to prevent this?

Either keep the Radius of brush right on the geometry when painting weight , or select the related polygons before painting and tick 'Respect Selection', then it won't impact the weight on the 'opposite geometry'.

Also, if what you don't want to paint on is a different material zoneyou could use Geometry editor to Hide whatever material zones you don't want to be painted, then turn them back on when you're done. Works like a charm.

If I want to paint a fairly large region, I'll select the polygons in the geometry editor first, then switch to the weight map and right-click > Fill Selected

Since I have a falloff set in the Smooth section, it gradiates out from the polygons I have selected, making a smooth transition
