I have a tutorial on my website that shows how to install zip files.
See link in my signature.
There are two ways to look at content, the Content Library tab and the Smart Content tab. The Content Library tab shows a direct view of the files making up your installed content, arranged exactly as it's stored in the folders. The Smart Content tab is not a direct view of your content, it's a sorted and filtered view of a database pointing to the files in your content. Most freebies do not include the extra data needed to go into this database, so you will never find freebies in Smart Content unless you know how to put them into the database manually.
Note that the Content Library shows two different kinds of content, native-format DAZ|Studio files, and Poser files. You can't see both at once, it has to be one or the other.
In addition to these Poser and DAZ Studio native content views that show content arranged as it is stored in the Windows folders, the Content Library tab also has a few other views of your files available, including Products (which shows you all the content sorted by product name, but not all content appears here, I think older products may not), and also you can create your own custom categories that is completely independent of the way the files are stored in Windows folders. If you choose this last option, you have to tell DAZ Studio to scan the content folders (at least the new ones anyway) you have mapped for new content before you will see your content appear in unassigned. Also note that content can either appear directly in Categories > Default > Unassigned, or mixed in among the other folders already in Categories > Default.
Last, but not least, it is better to "install" new content with DAZ Studio closed. If the program is running, the database will not automatically refresh to show added content, unless you specifically tell it to search for it. Wilmap's tutorial is a recommended read.
Thanks. I did find your site eariler and download a few items to try. Works great. Thanks.
Thanks, I did find that tab... lol . Also easier to find the item using the search box. .... Thanks
belated;y moved to the new Users forum as it was a cry for help, not an offer of a freebie.
One thing I always do (as I found the CMS doesn't always pick up freebies)
I go to the Content Library tab and click on the triangle with the 4 lines and select "Scan Known Directories for Files"
