V4 hair/clothing fitting to G8F?

Hello, I'm still basically a beginner and I haven't really been able to find an answer to this - from what I see, Victoria 4 was the version right before Genesis ("1"). I mostly work with Genesis 8 so far, and I wonder if hair or clothing made for Victoria 4 has a chance to decently fit G8? I have got pretty good results with hair/poses/clothing made for Genesis 2/3 (usually with just a bit of manual adjustment), and I wonder if items made for V4 should also work alright or the generation difference will be just too big. (The main reason being that it seems very hard to find free/affordable hair, and it seems there are some good options for V4.)

    If you load Genesis (the original, Genesis 1) and then the Victoria 4 clothes you should get the Autofit dialogue (if not select the clothes and then use the Fit to button in thje Parameters pane ti fit them to Genesis) - set the source figure to Victoria 4 and optionally set a clothing type. Now select the converted clothing and fit it to Genesis 8 Female, using the button in the Parameters pane, to get an AutoFit dialogue - this time set the Source figure as Genesis (because it's been converted). This will also work for some hair, but it's often better just to manually plae and adjust the ahir on the new character and then parent it to the head - that way you keep any bones for things like tails.
