Wrong result with Female bot armor?

I'm trying this:

http://www.daz3d.com/genesis-2-female-bot-armor

but on a Genesis 2 I get this (basically the breasts and other part of the skin are naked). Shouldn't it be metallic instead? Am I missing something?

Thanks!

  • The parts replace the Genesis parts which need to be hidden. Genesis parts need to be hidden.

  • If I hide the Genesis, I have hole where before I had skin.

Once you have applied the 'BotArmorAll.DUF' you need to go to Bot Armor > Materials and load the mats for G2F there

There is Chrome Tint Brass, Chrome Tins Copper etc etc.   Make sure to have G2F selected in the Scene pane (not the bot armour) , then apply one of them to her to cover the bare skin.

  • Thank you, that did it! :)

However, this makes the face look metallic too. How can I have a "non-metallic" face as can be seen on the promo images?

I kinda like the half human-half robot look LOL

I better check and make sure I have this in my wishlist!

there are lots of material options some cover the face others don't.

I only see 7, and all of these cover the face... could you please elaborate?

@Pesegato Right, Sussed it - after applying you need to go into the surfaces setting for the Bot Head and remap the "Brow" and "Face" settings to your original model's face/head texture (depending on UV/Model used will depend whether its a "face jpg or head jpg) - I checked the pictures on the product page and it matches up so the indentations around the brow are inescapable without have the whole head non robotic. Hope this helps.

  • Thank you; could you please show a picture on the steps involved? After applying the robotic material I find it difficult to get back the old face. I think that changing the diffuse gives me the specular instead, because the face becomes black/grayish. How shoud I do it for example on Victoria 6?

No problem, I'll grab some screen shots later. In the meantime just check it's the correct jpg you're adding, there are normally 3, the standard texture and then bump and specular, the other two normally have an addition like a letter (facea.jpg for example)

Okay, with the standard double click to load Victoria 6, the face texture is Rybelle_face.jpg - I have taken some step by step screen shots here as well.

On a side note - Eyes, Lips and eyelashes can be applied as normal after this is done.

  • Thank you! I didn't realize that I had to change "Bot_head" instead of the Victoria node!
