Need help with changing mesh texture in Zbrush
Hi, I am new to Zbrush and have encountered the following problem;
I imported a simple mesh from Maya using GoZ, applied a texture with bump mapping using the Spotlight tool and exported back to Maya. However, I now want to change the texture completely but don't know how to get rid of the existing bump map on the mesh.
I chose 'New Texture' in the Texture map but that only removed the texture color and not the bump map. Please help, thank you in advance!

ZBrush doesn't use bump maps (or indeed textue maps) as such. The "bump" is sculpted into the mesh, you need to smooth it out or revert to the original mesh.
You might want to watch this video since you would want your bump texture and sculpted bump to match:
I will suggest that whenever you are working on something that may need changing, that you always save iterations of your tool so that you can get back to the untextured state and start over or modify as needed. Saving with undos will also work, though create a much larger file.
