Hide a figure and all parented objects at the same time.

Hello!  Is there a hot key or function to hide a figure and all its children objects at the same time?

    One option is to add them to a group - select the figure, and anything that isn't parented to it, then go to Create>New Group. Hiding the group should hide all children too
