3d previews?
Tonight when I was looking at a new model I tried to rotate it.
Why, because I've been playing my online game and in login screens etc you can rotate and zoom your character.
This is not a generic character it is specifically the character I put together and outfitted.
So this is the nvidia card using the data fed to it by the game engine
Now picture the nvidia card using data fed to it by the daz sales engine.
I think this would be a great sales tool and a great way for the buyer to size up products
Basically the background is vanilla although the pet and the mount in the background are also custom to your character.
Obviously the engine builds the character from the appearance file but this is in seconds
this should be programable?

sequence of pics from my login. I assume if the company was worried about screenshots they would turn off screenshoting
but people live stream video from the game so I would assume these images are fair use, also

3D asset previews are very susceptible to data ripping; ultimately, the preview has to provide the user's computer with mesh and textures, and various programs can exploit that.
It's a different prospect for games, where the product is the gameplay experience, not the assets.
A rendered fly-around video could probably satisfy both sets of needs. No mesh data transmitted and a way of getting a 3D preview. If the video were done 512 square, 36 fps & 10s long (or 10fps, 36 seconds - either way one frame per degree) that should be a reasonable balance between render time & detail.

While I agree, I would still like to see this in the store. I like how you can view the models at Sketchfab in either your bowser or in VR
