G8.1 is G8, why don't you use G8.1?
Because I am using old daz version (4.14) and some stuff won't work with newer version. I am planing upgrade but it will be in summer probably. So that's why and I am stuck as I have few characters 8.1 and I want to use them. Do you know how to? Just a shape, no skin etc...
G8.1 can use G8 and G3 textures/skins with no problems and if the SubD is set at the same level as with G8, G8.1 is no different from G8.
Edit; Sorry, forgot... One needs DS 4.15 for G8.1 to see G8 morphs and characters. Try testing you import/export settings first with G8, before trying the same with G8.1
One other thought. I have occasionally had sliders for G8.1 characters appear in my G8 base character 'Shaping' tab. It'd be worth looking there to start, see if it's already been done for you.

Richard
Make sure the character mesh resolution is set to base, and delete any eye lashes, eye brows etc before exporting.
8.0 and 8.1 are the same mesh (only for the same gender of course), you should be able to import then use the morph loader. If you do use this method, you will lose any jcm corrections for that morph, so it is not the best way to go from 8.1 to 8.0, however the alternatives can be quite advanced, as you would likley need to edit the dsf files, which is non-trivial.
I checked it first. Tried even move files to motrph folder but no luck
Ok I will try it now. Thank you for help guys
And btw what I should uncheck in the popup window when I export? Leave it default for Daz?
Attach a screenshot of the dialoque, not at home with DS atm.
Ok I am attaching screenshot below:
Uncheck everything, and when exporting, do not forget to set the figure to base resolution, posed in default A-pose, any and all attachments (eylashes, eyebrows, etc.) removed
Knowledge is a wonderfull thing, a two minute job for me, turns into a panic inducing nightmare for most of the rest of you.
Well it is not a huge job, just a matter of changing 8.1 into 8 in a number of dsf files, but if it is not something people have done before, it is easy to mess up.
You need to edit the dsf files, as well as move them, so that the base class is 8.0 rather than 8.1. Not rocket science, but it is something that should be done with care to ensure nothing is messed up.
I normally export to Daz format, but in reality for morph loading all that matters is that you re-import with the same settings as you exported with.
