War Witch - G9 or G8/8.1?????

Which one will you get? I'm torn! My established characters that I feature in a lot of my artwork are 8.1...so that outfit would work for them. But, I am hoping to transfer to them to 9 at some point, but who knows how long that will be. I guess the question boils down to...

Is it easier to transfer G9 clothing to G8? Or G8 clothing to G9? Which yields better results, especially at the shoulder? Some outfits don't transfer well at the shoulder, especially if there are little wing things that stick off the shoulder. I have clones to go either way...but not sure which one would be better in terms of quality.

    The skirt, cloak and sleeves have custom bones and that would definitely be a problem for autofit, no matter which way you're transfering. That's typically the kind of outfit where buying multiple figure specific versions makes sense IMO.

    Arki created this outfit in a male and female version perfectly fitting the different f/m characters and suggested that it was worth to buy both male and female version because of the custom sculpted shape morphs which should fit perfectly as they don't need to be adapted by autofit. That is great but comes at a price, so you will have to decide if that is a good investment for you.

    EDIT: With 8 tokens and i think if you bought an orc bundle you can get it down to 13.49$ each

    I would definitely buy the G8.1 version and simply transfer it over to G9 as it's only a one-piece so there should be no problem with transferring it, as all of G8.1's clothing has bone rigs... That's what I plan to do anyway with my glut of G8.1 clothing, as backward capability is Daz's meat and potatoes after all!

    Yeah, I'll get on the "buy both" wagon as well, as you can get it on sale, so that shouldn't be an issue.

    Buy G8.1. Then when you have enough need for G9 version, buy G9. I don't think it'll transfer well either way because it's a layered outfit.

    My perspective: if you're using mostly G8/8.1, buy the G8 version. When you're ready to move on to G9, there's a chance this outfit will be on sale.

    Good point, having custom morphs for supported shapes instead of autofollow on a converted version would also be a real plus.

    G8F version for me. Good gravy, I always love the Arki/Shox teamup. Another gorgeous set.

    Except I already have the orc bundles I want and I only have two tokens. Why would I want to spend more to get less off someplace else?

    At least this product will give us a vague and wholly unscientific idea of which version is more popular to buy by looking at the "What's Hot" order.

    So far the Genesis 9 version seems more popular, having reached the number 1 spot, but the G8 version is quite high up as well, so both are selling well.

    Does that mean G9 is more popular than G8?, or at least for buying new content. Probably a little early to say that.

    I bought the G9 version because this is exactly the kind of outfit I'm hoping to see more of. It has a ton of kitbashable pieces, most of which would not transfer over well from G8.
