Chains for weapon (created with Blender)

Hello,
I was planning to create a weapon inspired by the Lahn weapon from Black Desert but I'm not too sure how to deal with the animation compatibility.
One point that is bothering me, especially, is how to make the chain curve as smoothly as possible. Without enough bones, the curve is edgy, and I can hardly imagine people being fine with managing one bone for each ring of the chain
Any hint?

It is possible to multi-select bones and pose them all at once, or to set up controllers to do that for you. A lot of chain/rope/snake items will do that.
A side question : is it possible to import the bones if they are created in Blender or I need to recreate them?
You will need to re-rig them in DS.
