UV Question

Okay so I've a stupid question!
I have created new surfaces with geometry editor to assassin hood and I can see the parts of the UV map that would apply to it in the UV view.
Is there a way to export this so I can layer it over existing texture map and see which parts of the existing map are within that new surface?
Edit: Basically it's the new trim in the attached node view. I'm just not sure how to export that with the same resolution as the original map (or... to export at all).

for DAZ studio you need to buy a plugin
most other programs that can load an obj can export UVs
take your pick
I'd have though, since the UVs are unchanged, that a screen grab of the new mesh would work - then just use it as a guide to adjust the base template.
Thanks for the replies. The screen cap doesn't really fit that well on top of the existing uv map but I'll try to figure something out. If nothing else I think it's time for me to learn Blender... haven't touched it in almost 20 years so I hope it has gotten a bit easier to learn.
