PBR skin shader and displacement don't mix?

So I have a character with custom scars and the best way to depict them (outside of creating a morph) is to use displacement maps.

All well and good, but for some reason adding a displacement map stalls iray entirely. This does not happen with uber shaders.

So, any tips on getting it to work or is it a fool's errand?

    Just tried it, and it works for me. Are you adding a displacement map while Iray preview is on?

    So I did some experiments and it seems that, of course, there was a weird derp on the exact material file that caused it. New file with the same settings? Works just fine x.x

    So, problem solved???
