Anyone Running DS 4.2/Gen9 on CPU only computers

I haven't gotten my new computer yet and keep putting off installing and updating programs.  My current computer is CPU only so I am using DS 4.15.  It is easier for me to render 3Delight until the end and do an iray only when everything is done.  I keep worrying that things I am using aren't going to work if I update and was wondering if anyone out there can give me some feedback before I update and maybe wish I wouldn't have.  So, what things do we lose in 4.2 and will the new stuff render ok on CPU only.  TYIA

    It sounds as if iRay rendering is a bit slower in 4.21 compared to 4.15. The time penalty for rendering with CPU will be proportionately the same, though, maybe 6% longer than 4.15. You don't loose functionality rendering with CPU, and that's the same with 4.21, it just takes a lot longer than with a GPU.
