85% off 3 DO items coupon

davesodaveso Posts: 7,138

Now this is a very good pleasant surprise from DAZ today. Got a banner for 85% off up to 3 DO items. Thanks DAZ... That makes even $100 bundles only $15.... thats a good price IMO. Hopefully it lasts long enough to figure out 3 items :) With DAZ coupons you never know when they will end.

What do you have in your cart?

Note: New releases are excluded even though they show up when you click the 'Shop Now' button.

THE CATCH = it seemed good but this coupon does not stack, so its a straight 85% off ... still good, but I had some big bundles, but really didnt work out..still $40 each... so with 3 they ended up at 115...big savings but more than I'm going to spend this month.

I just used it on wishlist items that I've had that were fresh off "new" status.

DAZ MATH does it again. 85% off FULL PRICE, NOT discounted price.

I thought I was going to pick up a couple of bundles for silly prices - Just the pick me up I needed really... But, no. Of course it isn't that generous, or straight forward.

    Thanks, but no thanks, Daz.

85% off out of the blue on a banner is a good deal, even if it's not an EXTRA 85% off (as the coupon would have likely specified if that had been the case). I for one do think that is generous. $10 item -85% is $1.50. That's a good deal. I've legit never seen an EXTRA 85% off on top of sale prices on this site ever...50% is the most I've seen for that type of deal. At that point, just say you want stuff for free, lol.

it is true that 85% off is a lot ... FREE always the best laugh   I didnt see the fine print no stack when I first posted and saw some great bundle deals in my mind and then wondered why they were still 40, which is great, but not when I had takn out my calculator and took 85% off the price when the bundle was already 58% off. Its a huge difference in price.  That did cause me disappointment for sure and made the deal a bit sour. I backed off the bundles and now have 3 old DAZ+ items in the cart. The only thing there, will they be even less during the next DAZ+ sale?

I'm not a high roller so have had to cut back my purchases a lot, so when I can get something very low priced, its my opportunity, but when it comes total to more than I can spend in the entire month, I have to back off. I'm still contemplating my next move with that 85% off. I'm not inclined to go over $25 total. The way prices are rising, even DAZ+ items, my spend here is nearly over.

Here is what I got...any time I see these sales I tend to stay away from Daz+ items as I know I can just get them for super cheap at any time (for the most part). I think it was a great deal for those items as they were just off "new" status and were in my wishlist.

Well then I apologise for losing most of the household income and having to tighten my spending, due to my mother dying.

how is it a catch that you want more than 85% off? maybe they should just give it to you for free.

The coupon is nice, I want to get the M9 Dark Assassin (https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-dark-assassin-for-genesis-9) and the King's Guard Outfit (https://www.daz3d.com/the-kings-guard-outfit-for-genesis-9), but am sadly running out of disk space. Could any owners of these outfits tell me their package sizes real quick?

    https://www.daz3d.com/harpsichord and the https://www.daz3d.com/european-bike for $7.77 smiley

@N-RArts: Sorry to hear you are going through very demanding times, that is really hard!

DIM says Dark Assassin is 272.5MB and King's Guard is 170.2MB

Just for comparison, here are the stacking equivalents of replacing a series of discounts in cart with an 85% discount

80% discount, the coupon is the same as a 25% stacking discount
70% discount, the coupon is equivalent to a 50% stacking discount
60% discount, the coupon is equivalent to a 62.5% stacking discount
50% discount, the coupon is equivalent to a 70% stacking discount
40% discount, the coupon is equivalent to a 75% stacking discount
30% discount, the coupon is equivalent to a 78.5% stacking discount
20% discount, the coupon is equivalent to a 81.5% stacking discount
10% discount, the coupon is equivalent to a 83.3% stacking discount

(I did use the calculator for the last three as they were not nice numbers)

  • Ah, if only it would allow me to land one of these sweet Horse 3 bundles for only ten or fifteen bucks! laugh

Oh well, I guess that will be an orange coupon in March 2027...

I suppose this is as good an excuse as any to get started on my Gen9 collection.

    wallet groans "noooooooooo...."

  • Nice enough. Got something off my wishlist for less than $4.

They were pretty inexpensive when they first came out. I got the Horse  3 megabundle for  only $25 with my DAZ+ coupon and the discount for owning DAZ horse 3 from having purchased the prerelease.

i downplayed my desires for a coup-le things i had looked at in the past ...$12 instead of $115. probably better off anyway as I have a ton of bundles anyway. Avoided G9 this way too .. once you fall into the new stuff trap your're lost. devil

I got both outfits and one also rather newish hair (I can't for the life of me resist those 3d hairs, I don't have the slightest why) for not even 14 bucks, that's pretty neat I think. Also finally caved in and bought the Enchanted Attic and Kjaer 8 from the 3.99 selection. His skin is really so good, the promos don't do him justice, and I love the tattoo. And the attic has those lovely flying book sheets. I shouldn't have gotten the attic, because the file size is rather huge, so it played havoc with my plan to be miserly with disk space. Ah, well, still a happy camper here. It was such a shit day at work, and now I have pretty promo pics to look at before I fall asleep, and even prettier (well ...) renders to plan ... laugh

  • Too true. I wasn't going to have anything to do with Genesis 9. I just typed it into my DIM and it came back with 53 things. Oh dear.

  • I've never picked up Decimator for Daz in the past. It would be a nice grab at $15 now, but what I'd really need it for is cutting down on the size of big landscapes (UltraScenery stuff, the new Iron Ridge Horse Pasture, etc.) and it's not clear if it will work on those things as well as figures and props?

  • murgatroyd314murgatroyd314 Posts: 1,538

Finally got Pixie 9 (along with a couple of older things from my wishlist). I like her look, but I was never interested in much from her bundle, and a base price of $60 for just a single character is... excessive.

  • benniewoodellbenniewoodell Posts: 1,982

Yeah, I'm picking up Pixie 9 as well as a couple of outfits. I have like six G9 characters, don't expect to get much more so it's nice to have a toon-esque character to dial in if I happen to use G9. This is a good sale today!

Most of the ultra scenery props (ie trees and grass) have already been reduced to the lowest number of polys possible to still look good, so I really doubt decimator will help much with those. Personally I find ultra scenery scenes to be not too bad for VRAM usage, as long as you optimise for memory. If you are having problems rendering them, it might be the incredibly high number of instances (200K-500k) that could be causing the issues, and decimator will not help much for that.

Thank you for the coupon, DAZ. I got a nice dress and its texture set and a makeup set for under $9. I'm trying so hard to be frugal! smiley
