Hid Forum Categories now cant get them back

Awhile ago I decided there were too many categories in the forums so found a way to hide the ones I do not read. Now I want to add one of them back in and I cannot figure out where I did it or how to do it. Typical old man loss of mmory trick right there. 
Any idea?

    I think while you are in forums go to the gear icon right top of screen and select "All Categories".  once shown you can gear individual foums and hide them again if there ones you dun want.

     

    I could be wrong but that's what Ive done in past for odd forums I do not intend togo into

    they're already hid but i see no way to get them back. there is HIDE and MARK ALL READ, no unhide. Anywhere.

    Once you have gone to "All Categories" you should be able to click the gear of any forum that you think is normally hidden and get something like this:

    If it says "Hide" instead of "Unhide" then that suggests it is one of the categories that you didn't hide in the first place (at least that is my experience)

    Did you just try that now? What browser are you using? I thought there was an unhide at the category level, but I just tried it and the forum I hid is, as expected, hidden, so there's no gear icon to click. I'm in Chrome.

    I'm in Chrome too. When you say there is no gear to click, do you mean that the category isn't shown? In which case did you actually start by changing the gear at the very top right from "viewing followed categories" to "viewing all categories"?

    Thanks, I thought I had switched that to all categories but I just tried it again now and it did show the hidden category. Now it's throwing an error if I try to unhide it, but at least I know where the option is for when it's working!

    Ah, I see what you mean (I just tried an unhide and also got an error message).

    It hasn't worked in many months. Maybe even a year or so. I've tried countless times to unhide a forum, hoping it is fixed. But nope, it's just not going to be fixed, I think. It's been brought up before, and a ticket had been submitted but that was way back in September or October if memory serves correct.

    BLUE BAR  right side gear.  All Categories.  Webpage updates shows all forum titles.  Each has it's own gear. Hide or unhide should be available.

     

    Try a different browser if available.  I don't use Opera any longer, actually ages.

    thanks..why i didnt see ALL categories before is beyond me..however, when I unhid the category I wanted this error popped up

    Yep.  Daz3d forum web team should probably be aware of it.  You could open a ticket.

    I had hidden the NFT forum but brought it back a few months ago so I could have a chuckle 

    it still won't appear in recent discussions whenever there is a new post though

    whats strange, after clicking everything I could with no luck, today, ALL the forums are back. No idea what is going on.

    I try to mess around with "functions" and "options" as little as possible... you never know what's going to trigger a cascade failure and cause the warp core to explode, or give poor little Burt the server hamster his final fatal aneurism.

    The latest fun experience is random log out loops... but what's really awesome is the going back and forth that's going to give me a Pokémon style looping induced seizure.

    Who knows, maybe it'll be fun...

    +1 that login loop thingy is beginning to drive me crazy, but it's daz.
