Tapirdary for Horse 3
https://www.daz3d.com/tapirdary-for-daz-horse-3
The Tapirdary have been transported to many planets as they can be highly adaptable to desert and tropical climates. Powerful beasts of burden have helped many colonists establish a foothold in wild terrain.
Built off the Daz Horse 3, the Tapirdary can take all the horse's poses with minimal adjustment.
This set was designed with ultra-realistic PBR skin techniques. The High Definition morphs and high-quality textures will really bring this character to life for your renders.

Something I don't need but I appreciate the detail of the texture in all of your products. I pass on stuff from other PA's (or have regretted purchases) because of the plastic and sterile looks.
This little guy is still in my cart, he made the cut. I enjoy rendering a mix of SF and primitive world renders for fun and he will mix in just fine.
Questions I have thought.
1. A rider, if possible, would sit behind the hump?
2. If so, would any of the saddles and tack for DH3 fit the Tapirdary?
3. Can it pull a cart or sled, with available equipment we have now in the store?
4. Or is it somewhat intelligent and able to follow verbal commands?
Thank you RawArt for him,
Mary
I will be honest...I dont have the answers to those questions.....all the poses, carts and saddles were not available when I made this. I "Hope" they all work fine, with maybe minor adjustments. I cant really see any big problems.
Thank you very much. Honesty is a wonderful trait. I encourage it at all times!
I had the same questions when i saw this cool creature. If you purchase and try it out, please post your results.
It's really adorable. It looks like something that would be in the Star Wars universe.
I did draw some inspiration from the Eopie from Star Wars
Aha. I just looked it up. Your creature reminds me of that and the gentle expressions I see in artwork of brontosauruses.
I am able to attach the Road Buggy and Harness without issue. And a cropping grass pose worked very nice!
thanx for sharing that....I will likely be buying a bundle later today and will play over the weekend
Okay, I need to modify my statement. As I moved in for a render, I saw that the 'ring' that held 3 sections of the harness together on both sides of the shoulders was missing. On closer inspection, the strap that lays over the hump, sinks into it. I have tried a variety of adjustments for the harness, but they are more for the reins and hooking up to the poles. I even tried Mesh Grabber, but that was a bust. I loaded a DH3 into the scene and the buggy/harness to compare and the ring is there, and strap does not get lost inside its body.
We need a morph to adjust that harness area across the hump/shoulders. Unless someone with more skill than me (pretty much everyone else) can figure how to overcome this.
Here is the render I was working on when I noticed the issue. It is lit bright so you can see the areas I mentioned.
with the hump didnt really expect it would fit perfect out of the box...but selecting "scale" along a few of the bones along the gear should be a quick adjustment
Well I found the ring while trying to click on the leather harness, it is buried inside the left side chest. I found the other one floating off to the right side of the Tapirdary. I can't find a 'scale' slider when I can click on a part of the harness, though I did see one for the Tapirdary. I am way over my head.
I wonder if this is down to a Rigidity Map, and perhaps a bad pick for reference points - the Rigidity map would limit the extent to which the morph transfered and bad choice of reference might lead to parts moving in odd directions as they tried to follow the reference.
I know what a tapir is, but I don't think I will ever not read the name of this product as "tarpidary".
same. I first saw the thumbnail in the store and thought to myself "cool, someone did a tapir" then I saw it was Rawart and new it was something else, LOL.
Totally cool. I hope you have plans for morphing it into a set of giraffes at various ages.
I am sorry, I couldn't resist. Behold the dreaded reintapir! (Or is it a quandary?)
@RawArt could probably do a nice line in different horn and hair accessories for customizing the tapirdary. I'd buy that.
And I just realized that if I buy Sleipnir, I might be able to make a thoat from Edgar Rice Burroughs' "Barsoom". I think thoats are supposed to be six-legged, but what's an extra pair of legs between friends?
Has anyone tested to see if the tapirdary textures will map across the whole of Sleipnir's body and limbs?
I dig the reindeer version...very cool....can send him off to Hoth
Here are a couple fits I tried quickly.....the western saddle and tack fit decently. The reigns need pose adjusting, but they would need that with any shape or pose. I suggest loading the tack parts individually rather than the "load all" option. It seems to fit better.
As for the rustic cart....seems to fit perfect, not issue I found....so I think this character will play quite nicely with horse props
