Micah H3 Faces/Tail morphs not working fully

Hello all,

I've been going retro and playing with Micah H3. I have the Faces for Micah pack (and Melody). Melody works without issue, I apply a face, and her face completely changes. For Micah, however, often nothing changes. Sometimes his eyes or muzzle change, but rarely the ears. Similarly, I cannot make any changes to his tail with the provided morphs. I can see the sliders when I click his head, but the Face bundle still doesn't working properly to change his face.

Melody also has CDI morphs for her tail which Micah does not have.

Anyone have any tips to get Micah working properly? I'd prefer not to have to manually recreate every face (I've opened up the pz2 files and see that the morph details are there, they just don't seem to work).

  • Hello,  I tested Micah with the CDI morphs on my system and everything work fine for me.  Based on your description, my first guess would be that you are loading the Micah base cr2 file, not the Micah cr2 file with the additional CDI morph channels.  When you click on his head, do you see a section called CDI Morphs, and if so, do the morphs under that category work?  If not, you may need to reinstall Micha Faces pack to make sure you are using the Furries Micah file with CDI morph channels.

    Also, seeing as its a Millenium 3 figure, double check everything is in the same runtime/library as the base figure.

    Yes, I do see morphs when I click Micah's face, and they seem to relate to the Faces, but I have to manually set them, the files int he Faces folder don't do anything (and the tail doesn't have any morphs at all). I'd run the Injection file as well, but beyond that, there aren't other options in the zip file that I see. Everything is in Runtime folders, and I've double checked the ZIP file to make sure everything is install properly. Melody works perfectly.

    I have a Beagle add on that does seem to work separate from the Faces pack (but still nothing for the tail). Sometimes the nose changes, but never the ears, fit hat makes a difference.

    Are you using "Furries Micah.cr2" from the current DAZ version? It is preloaded with all morphs, no injections needed. Are you maybe using an old RDNA version? I believe they had some special procedure to add the Furries morphs (RTE files to verify if the base was installed). I only read about it, never had to use it.

    The file name I'm using is "Micah.cr2" (download right from Daz). It loads with some of the morphs, just not seeming to work with the tail or ears. All the body morphs given for an H3 body are there. 

    When I apply the tail morphs from the library, it just hides the tail rather than morph it.

    Yes, that's Micah, but not "Furries Micah". If you have installed Furries for Melody and Micah, look in Poser Formats->Figures->CDI->Furries for "Furries Micah.cr2", "Furries Mel LE.cr2" and "Furries Mel FBM.cr2". Those are the ones to use.

  • So does this mean I'm missing the file? It's not in the ZIP (or the Melody ZIP). I've downloaded them separately multiple times, both manually as a ZIP and through DIM. In the Faces pack, there's an !INJ Furries Micah file, but it doesn't seem to do anything.

    The Furries MEL LE.cr2 is there (not the FBM file).

    "Faces Pack"? I see no product by that name for Micah or Melody. There are a number of Furries texture add-ons, but what you need to get the morphs is the Furries Bundle, or individually, Furries for Micah and Furries for Melody. They have the Faces and Tail morphs.

    I got those too (The Furries for Micah). That's what I mean by the faces. Those are the morphs that don't work. I can't customize the tail at all, and only the nose changes slightly when applying these morphs.

    Furries for Micah comes with everything you need, but you MUST use "Furries Micah.cr2" that should be installed to "Figures -> CDI -> Furries" as I mentioned above. If you have installed Furries for Melody also, you should have the three .cr2's I showed in the screen cap. The tail morphs (actually shape presets) for both Melody and Micah go in "Pose -> CDI -> Furries". The Face morphs (again, shaping presets) should be in "Pose -> CDI -> Faces Melody" and "Pose -> CDI -> Faces Micah". If not, then they were not installed properly. I don't know what else to say.

    The file to load that will load Micah with the faces (CDI) morphs for the head and tail included is located at:

    /Runtime/Libraries/Character/CDI/Furries/Furries Micah.cr2

    When loaded, you should see the following when the Head is selected and Body is selected (for the tail):
