New Member only deal --- well, that just set back my renewing for another year at least

I'm way down from spending money but you've got a deal for people who are new... well, I'm old and since that will never change ... not likely to re-up for a long time. Because as I've noticed over the past 6 mos I don't need it.
Not only took that out of the cart but dropped the item to get the 30% deal, too.

There was a 40% off last week for members, those pop up every couple of weeks. Of course, that's not helping any if you want to purchase renewal right now, that's true.

  • It looks like your membership expired last year - so you were eligible to sign up as a 'new' member.. so I'm really confused what you're point is?

  • I think alan bard newcomer might think it means people who a new to DAZ not old one's who are currently not members or lapsed members

    the wording could be better

You should of just put it in the cart & see if you got the discount. My DAZ+ expires in May but I know I'm not likely to renew until some months afterwards. I don't buy nearly so much and a membership is just pressure buy at least $12 once a month, although I've skipped spending that coupon a couple of months now.

because I put it in cart and it didn't discount even with the new item in with it. So I went back and as far as I could see the deal said New Members and I figured that it bypassed returning members. (and let's face it there's a history of deals not working, right?)
But in the long run it's fine, I did pick up a gift card becasue there have been a couple utility things I wanted.
But then we ran right into a major peeve.... I have 800 items in my wish list of moderate interest but Daz won't supply a sort by that and I looked at a couple sales with 40 or 80 pages to go through and said "nope" and that remioded me of the pc plus coupon and looking through pages of stuff and I need my time to work on art.
If it was supposed to work it didn't but I'm okay with that. I can do another three months of sporatic checking ... because PUSH sales and having to figure out WTF just aren't worth the time and truthfully with 12 items I've got plenty to keep me busy.
But stick some REAL VALUE on plus like 30% new discount permanently while a member then I'd be back it, know when ever I do find some loose cash and I just hit the wish list and buy but having to look at the list, xref with sales etc and figure out whether buying X that I don't need results in enough discount to get A, B, and C ...  just stops me in my tracks
In the mean time I do have the render folder with 50,000 items to sort.
