Gift card questions
How exactly do these work? If I buy myself a gift card for, lets say, $100. Can I then use that for several smaller purchases, or does it have to be for a purchase for that amount? Or is it better to buy several gift cards with smaller amounts?
And these are used instead of regular payments, like credit cards? So in other words, it would be stupid to not take advantage of the 12% revs discount that's up right now, if I'm going to spend the money anyway in the daz shop?

You can can use for smaller purchases. You get 1 year to use the gift card code they email you. Then you have a store credit, I don't think the store credit has the 1 year timer on it. Use the store credit instead of other payment options, which allows you to keep your CC safe and not stored here.
I use the gift card when they have good discounts because it just keeps adding up...the savings that is.
When you purchase a gift card you are emailed a code (looks a lot like the serial numbers) which is also a link; if you click on it, it takes you to a page where you can redeem it (convert it to store credit) with the card ID filled in. Redeem the card and then, at checkout, you will have three options for payment: Credit Card, Paypal, or Store Credit. I use these to keep from hitting my credit card with small chargess from fastgrab and the PC club items.
And it never hurts to buy money when its on sale.
The gift card gives you store credit, you don't have to use it all at once. And yes, it's like getting an instant 12% discount on whatever you purchase with it.
Much thanks for the replies! *runs off to go gift card shopping*
Another advantage for us furriners, many of us have a separate bank charge for each payment made in those funny foreign "dollar" thingies. Buying a GC for these sale months... okay, a few... well, a bunch of GCs... lets us buy lots of little stuff in separate purchases without being hit for a bank charge on each one. Usually very useful next month in the PC sale, where there's frequently cheap-on-sale-NOW-ONLY goodies popping up on the sale pages.
