Turn LAMH 2 Catalyzer on and off?

Every time I load in a character, like felidae, that is a catalyzer asset, it slows DAZ Studio down to a crawl. I tried enabling safe mode but that does nothing for improving DAZ Studio's performance.

I tried disabling the Catalyzer plugin, loading in felidae, and saw that DAZ Studio's performance wasn't significantly impacted, so it's obvious that catalyzer is making DAZ Studio unusably slow.

I attempted to save the scene, turn on the Catalyzer plugin, reset DAZ studio and then open the scene but the felidae figure didn't have any of the advanced hair or anything like that.

Essentially what I want is to be able to setup and pose scenes with catalyzer figures without taking the performance hit and then 'flip a switch' and have catalyzer do its thing only when I'm finally ready to render. What can I do?
