Need some help saving an Expression using Addy Characters

Hello,

I want to save some customized smile expressions that I made for one of my characters by dialing in several different expression morphs. Some of these customized smiles are created using expressions that come with the Stella, Lyla and Daphne characters by Addy. I have saved customized expressions for characters before and I am familiar with the process, but what is different this time is that when I go to select all the morphs that have been used from the list of all the installed expression morphs, I cannot for the life of me find the Addy character expressions in that list. Every other expression morph that I own seems to be there just not the ones that come with the Addy characters.

I have checked under the Currently Used option of the Parameters tab to see if the Addy Character Expression sliders turn on other morphs, but nothing shows up as being currently active except for the Addy character expressions.

Does anyone know why I am not able to find them in the list of expressions when I try to save a customized character expression?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Edit: I should state that the Addy characters are for G8F and I am using G8.1F but I have looked under the expression list for both G8F and G8.1F.

Well I finally found the sliders but they only show up in the picklist if I am trying to save the expression as a Shape Preset not a Pose Preset. Does anyone know why this is happening?

  • If you click the gear icon on the slider to open Parameter Settings what is the type? it sounds as if theya re set to Modifier/Shape rather than Modifier/Pose. You could change the type while saving (it doesn't matter if it reverts afterwards, applying the preset doesn't care about the type) or you could use a Properties preset to include both.
