repositioning items that have been fitted to character

Hi, I have been finding that when I fit things like boots to a character they are not lined up the way I would like, either pointing down or out. Is it possile to reposition a piece of clothing say hat or shoes and still have them move with the character.

Thanks

There are normally poses supplied with the item to fit shoes and boots correctly to the character the were intended for.   If you are using autofit, then that may not work correctly.   The best way to do what you want, is to move the item in the Viewport to where you want it, using the Translate tool, and then when it is in position, parent it to the character (NOT Filt To).

Parenting allows the item to move with the body part that it is parented to, and can be used with any item.

In some cases you can choose the bone beneath the root of the clothing instead of the clothing itself and reposition using that bone.

Fit Control for Genesis is good for making minor adjustmants to clothing, although not shoes AFAIK.
