I'm pretty sure I've seen every single hair in store. But how come I miss this?

I think it's very good looking. If it's in this store I must have seen it. If you know where to find it, please let me know. Grateful in advance.

Btw. I think I've seen this hair somewhere else but not sure it's the same. If it's in this store, I'll be glad because I hate to put the hair into a folder manually (have got many machines)

You are genius! I guess that's it. I really find for it for a while but just look for black one. Thank you very much Jason!

  • Windfield hair is like OOT hair. Both are top notch quality, but your first thought would be:
    "Man, I wish, they'd be dforce-Hairs (none-SBH !)

Can't agree more. Very hard to go back when we know there are those good dForce hairs available.

I totally agree! I don't purchase any non dforce hair any more unless they are shorter styles that really don't need dforce. I have tried adding dforce to existing hairs, but the results were never satisfactory.

there is this one as well https://www.daz3d.com/nirv-fashion-stylized-bob-hair

it's less shiny though so maybe with a different hair shader

I have the same issue you have. Looking at the default hair images I have a hard time visualizing them in other colors. Even though its easy to change.

Thank you very much Linwelly. That's close. I consider it an excellent alternative!

Right? So weird. Why does anybody need dforce on short hairs?

I prefer the look of dForce hair. Transmapping has always looked a little wrong to me, even in the hands of folks like OOT, so I like that there's an alternative. dForce hair also offers the same flexibility as dForce clothing, in that you're not limited to whatever morphs the creator decided to make.

I am quite on the opposite side here.
First, almost every consumer 3d hair looks awfull and is quite the archilis heel of 3d art.
The most realistic looking hair available for DAZ studio comes from OOT and is still leaving space for improvements, such as more real life hair styles, instead of idealistic dream hair styles and the ability to have dforce simulations.
SBHs look so much worse, and only a few vendors have acceptable results.
Maybe there is alearning process involved, because SBHairs have in fact become better over years by looking more like hair, instead of cotton candy strands.
Very often the shaders don't look right. There seem to be a problem with blond hair shaders. Very often they just look yellow or pink in the final render.
So SBHair is not there yet for me.
As the learning process goes on, we might have some great results in the future.
Right now I am stuck with one updo hair prop, that looks right and doesn't have to move much.
Hair is maybe the most frustrating thing inside DAZ studio.

I am not a fan of SBH either. I find it doesn't look all the realistic and is usually more resource heavy than the cloth based dforce hair. Many of my projects involve laying down or extreme poses, so I would love some quality short cloth based hair from Linday, Biscuits or anyone else with FULL movement, not just the ends like many in the store already.

the resource heavyness is the ppoint why I usually go for non SBH, since I often have scenes with several character and a lot of props
