So I have Genesis 9 in my scene. In this case, Casey. I want to find something for him to wear, but he doesn't have a wide selection yet. So I deselect him and I go to warerobe and I find something I want to use. But when I add it to the scene, it's going to ask me who it was initially designed for. But how do I know. Since nothing was selected, it could be for anyone.

Assuming you are using Smart Content, then hoover over the middle of the bottom line of the Smart Content pane and when it turns yellow, click. That will open a section with information about the item you have selected.
In Smart Content, you can right click on the wardrobe item and select Explore Targets. That will show you all the figures that the wardrobe item is compatible with. You will see a bunch of G3 characters, or G8 characters, etc. Then you will know.
Or you can right click the wardrobe item and select Show Asset In>Content Library> Mapped Folder. Then you can look in the Content Library and what People generation the wardrobe item is nested under.
Or you can right click the wardrobe item and select Explore Product. That will show you the whole product that contains the wardrobe item and you can see if the product name says "for Genesis 8", for example.
Or you can open the little info pane under the Smart Content (at least that is where it is in my layout) and see the file path of the selected wardrobe item. The path name shows you the file path where you can see what People generation the item is nested under.
There are probably a dozen other ways I don't know.
Sorry felis, I couldn't resist..
Thanks for the help!
