Getting the right Michael model for use with purchases?

Hi,

New user here. I have a clothing set designed for "Apollo Maximus" or "Michael 4 base". I don't believe these base human models are free, searching the store I found this for michael:

Is that the official model to get? Similarly, I see other packs designed for "Michael 3", example:

http://www.daz3d.com/hoplite-pack-for-m3

but none of my searches show something like an official "Michael 3". Would that work with "Michael 4", or do you have to get "Michael 3"? 

I'm not sure how this works.

Yes, http://www.daz3d.com/michael-4-base-male-3d-model this is the Base Michael 4 model, and as you say, it is not free.

Clothing designed for Michael 4 can be used on the Base Genesis figure (which is free) using the Autofit plugin that comes with DAZ Studio..   There is also this bundle (on alse at the moment) http://www.daz3d.com/v4-and-m4-shapes-for-genesis which will make Genesis look like M4 or V4, and Autofit can transfer the clothing.   It is not always 100% accurate, and some adjustments may need to be made.

Similarly, M3 clthing can be fit to Genesis by buying this http://www.daz3d.com/v3-and-m3-shapes-for-genesis as it also contains the clone shape for Autofit.

Michael 3 is here : http://www.daz3d.com/michael-3-0-base

And no, items made for Michael 3 don't work with Michael 4, but as JimmyC said you can autofit M3 clothes to Genesis with the clone.
