dForce surface - simulation - parameter wispy or denser.

Good morning,
A silk fabric does not behave in the same way as a cotton fabric or even leather. One flies and is wispy, the other stays denser.
Can someone please tell me (or point me to an excellent tutorial) in the surface / simulation tab what is the parameter that I have to modify to change the quality of my fabrics ( light or heavy) when I do a dForce simulation.

Thanks

Patrick

  • Adjusting the relative influence of folding, shearing, and buckling will play a big part - but bear in mind that if you make the model more resistant to dyanmics with these settings you will almost certainlyneed to give it more iterations to diffuse the energy and avoid "explosions". Mesh density (how many vertices it has per square virtual cm, not weight) is also a factor, though it is of course out of your control except when using primitives or models of your own creation, and that precludes giving a simple recipe in terms of settings for a specific type of fabric.
