Content Not Showing Up In DAZ 4.8

Sorry that these are basic questions on installing content, I've watched videos and searched but these questions are eluding me, thanks for your help!

1. I've installed and uninstalled DAZ Install Manager a number of times but when I try and install from DAZ'z download store page it takes me directly to Poser, I'm assuming it's a link somewhere from old installs. My Install Manager location is 1.jpg. Anyone know how to completely wipe old runtime links and start fresh or know where this is going wrong?
2. Since my Install Manager is buggery I'm extracting the zip files by hand. You can see in 2.jpg DAZ Studio sees the content but it doesn't appear in the window. If I browse to location and drag drop the pp2 file directly onto the stage the product appears as intended. I am extracting the content to 3.jpg as per instructions I read on DAZ site somewhere.

Any help with how I am completely bungling this would be much appreciated!

The stuff in the folder named 'Content' goes into the My Library folder, not the Content folder itself.  You have what is known as a nested content directory...and Studio stops looking at the 'top' level...so no, it won't find anything IN that content folder.

Add the path from DIM to Studio in the Content Directory Manager for both Studio and Poser formats.
