Why does my strand-based hair look like this (very little hair on the back of head)

    As is shown in the screenshot, I painted every part of the back of head and set the density to be 100. In the "style" tab, the only thing I did was to comb my hair, but unfortunately there are too much bare space in the back of the head... what is the cause of this?

    One solution maybe is to create a pure black hair cap as I have seen in other other products... but how to create that? Is there such an option in strand-based hair?

    The main issue is that you have combed the hair too tight to the scalp. Move the guide hairs out slightly from the head and you should be fine. 

    You will also need to change the autopart setting to flatten the tuft on top of the head.
