External hard drive and daz library?

Ok so the inevitable happened. I have the warning window of low space. But I do have an external 5tb drive. Am I able to install a secondary library to it? If so, how do I direct DazCentral to install items to the external drive?


Or would it be better if I just did a clean reinstallation to the external drive?

    You can definitely have one (or multiple) library on an external drive as well as one on your main drive, as long as you add them all as content directory in DS preferences.
    I don't think you can install to multiple directories with Daz central though, DIM would be better for that.

    Now I am a touch confused. I use DazCentral to install content....I thought that was the same thing?

    DazCentral is a simplified install program based on DIM, with a nicer interface. It's mainly intended for newer users or users with a simple setup.
    DIM is for advanced users and has more options, like installing to multiple locations, installing betas, and so on. It is available here:
