Headpiece Manipulation G8 to G9

Howdy,

I want to convert an anatomy accessory that fits Genesis 8/8.1 and converts it to work with Genesis 9. However, autofit doesn't inherit the rigging and morphs strangely (refer to attachments). 

I'm aware the skeletons and such are different. However, I wanted to know if there was a way I could adjust the figure object to make it work for G9 through joint manipulation, another tool or something.

For reference, the lekku used is the Talon lekku by LZY on Renderhub.

Is that wardrobe or a geograft? If the former, you should be able to get it fitted without too much mess, but if the latter, you might be out of luck. Geografts require the underlying geometry to match, and G8 and G9 have pretty different geometry.
