Rotating Objects in scene

Is it possible to rotate an object by the scenes coodinates, rather than the object?

I find it very dificult to perform multiple rotations because of the way the rotation axis changes with the rotation.  Is there an option I'm missing?

Thanks

Simon.

you can change the tool settings. If you don't have the tool settings tab enabled you may have to turn that on first. Then with the rotation tool selected you can change it from Local to World or Screen.

One way to add the tool settings tab if it is missing is Window>Panes (Tabs)> tool settings.

You could also create a group and put the character into the group...then use the group settings.  If I understand the problem right, that might help.

this is useful for when the pivot point is somewhere other than where you want it to be. I use a null myself instead of a group. Put the null into position where you want the pivot to be, then attach the item. Now use the null to rotate or move the item.
