dim light in Texture Preview with only one light source [fixed]

I'm making a series in an environment indoor with only one light source parented to the main camera, a flashlight.

In Perspective View the scene is well lit in Texture Preview and I can navigate alright, in the camera view, though (headlamp for the camera is off) the scene is very dimly lit in tex prev.

How can I have stronger light in there but only the intended low light when rendering?

EDIT: fixed: I set headlamp to on/0.1 intensity when I first thought I could use it as low key, when reset to auto/intensity 1 things are good

  • There is the keyboard shortcut CTRL L

This activates a "master light" to edit a scene in e.g. texture shaded view. It lights your scene even if other lights including headlamps are off. But it does not affect the render.

  • That key I know of but did not work, since headlamp was permanently on and at low emission, hence Daz assumed there was light in the scene and no other is needed. But like said, iusse solved.
