4090 bottleneck?

If I were to purchase a 4090 and my current cpu is a amd 5600x will it affect my renders?

    It's the latest, best geForce available. Twice the power of a 3090, the 4090 is : a mega beast.  If what you're expecting is a slowdown in rendering, you'll be disappointed.

    Thanks for your reply but there must be a little confusion ethier on your end or mine. I meant the fact that I have a 5600 cpu paired with it.

    You should not worry, your hardware is recent enough. 5600x was released in November 2020. It's not like you're going to plug a brand new GPU daughterboard into a 7~10 years motherboard.

    N.B : 850W Power Supply is the bare minimum for a 4090. I'd strongly advise a 1000W Power Supply, just to be on the safe side.

    My opinion : if you can afford the card, most definitely go for it.
