Advanced Ambient Light Still works ?

in Technical Help (nuts n bolts)

I've been learning things about lighting and found a package that would save me a lot of time to make lights indoors more evenly, but apparently it doesn't work well or maybe I just don't know how to use it, has anyone sed it or know if it still works?

    Yes, it still works, but it is 3DL-only, and will not work in Iray.

    This was clearly a misinterpretation on my part, I did not attribute 3D lighting to 3DL in the product description, I thought it was a way for the seller to write, light on 3d renders

    "3D light" and "3Delight" can be confusing. They are all 3D lights, in one sense or another, but 3Delight (or 3DLight, or 3DL) is a render engine. If it doesn't say Iray, generally it isn't, especially on older products.
